Kodagu, also known as Coorg by its anglicised name, also known as Scotland of India, is a small hill station located in the eastern slopes of western ghats and is famous across the world for its coffee and brave warriors. It is also called the land of generals and beautiful women.
Coorg is a region of scattered villages and hamlets, with a few townships standing out. Postcard-pretty with their red tiled cottages and purple flowering shrubs. Coorg has a few temples like Bagamandala and Omkareshwara that are worth visiting.
After breakfast drive to Calicut, also known as Kozhikhode. It is the second largest city of Kerala and is of great importance as Vasco Da Gama arrived here in 1498 and obtained permission to carry out spice trade. The region is famous for its spices.
On arrival check into your resort for overnight stay. Spend the evening at leisure or enjoy an Ayurvedic massage (Optional).
Morning free to explore Calicut on your own. Later drive to Cochin and check into your hotel.
