Day 01: Departure Mumbai

After lunch at the hotel/local restaurant proceed to board the Maharajas' Express at Mumbai CST station. After completing the pre boarding formalities you will be serveda welcome drink on-board.
The Maharajas' Express begins the Epic journey in the evening. Followed by Dinner and over night stay on board.


Day 02: Arrival Aurangabad

We will reach Jalgaon railway station in the morning. After breakfast we will leave the train to visit the World Heritage site of Ajanta Caves where we will see the Buddhist caves dating back to 2nd century BC. On return to Maharaja express, Dinner will be served on board. The train then leaves Jalgaon Station for the overnight journey to Udaipur. Overnight on Maharaja Express.


Day 03: Arrival Udaipur

Wake up in the picturesque region of Udaipur and enjoy breakfast by admiring one of the most romantic cities of India surrounded by the magnificent landscape of the Aravali Hills. It is an oasis of colour in a stark and scorched region. Udaipur is any tourist's dream destination. It is full of grand palaces, eye-alluring ancient forts, lakes and temples. The traditional mouth-watering rajasthan cuisine and the ancient architecture providing a true insight to the local culture and heritage.

The tour begins with a visit to the largest palace complex of City Palace in Rajasthan. We then proceed to have at a heritage hotel before exploring the colourful markets and streets of the lake city of Udaipur.

Sunset boat cruise on Lake Pichola would be Optional.

We then return to the luxury train to begin the onward journey.
Dinner and Overnight on board.


Day 04: Arrival Jodhpur

Today we reach the Royal city of Jodhpur, also known as blue city. It serves as the gateway to the wonderland of sand dunes, thorny trees and rocky terrain.

The city of Jodhpur is famous for its forts marvels and palaces from the Rajput era and is home to some of the finest architectural wonders.

The tour begins after breakfast with the visit the land of Bishnois, people who worship nature and are protectors of the wildlife. One can experience real India in the countryside. Lunch will be served at the Rohetgarh Fort, a heritage hotel. Later we return to Jodhpur for some city sightseeing. Dinner and Overnight on board.


Day 05: Arrival Bikaner

Journey through Thar Desert continues to Bikaner. After breakfast on board the luxury train, you set out to explore Bikaner. The city's mighty forts, palaces and mansions along with some very popular temples reflect the true historical, cultural and architectural wonders. Bikaner is famous for camel breeding and produces the best camels for riding in the world.

The tour starts with a visit to Junagadh Fort. Post lunch enjoy camel cart ride with musicians for a sundowner in the desert. Enjoy drinks with local Folk entertainment and traditional folk dances like Kalbeliya and langaas. Dinner and Overnight on board.


Day 06: Arrival Jaipur

Today, you will arrive at Jaipur or the city of victory, also known as pink city. It is a well-planned city of yore, constructed from rose-coloured terra cotta. - that has given it the name 'Pink City'. Jaipur is the capital city of the royal state of Rajasthan and has many grand monuments, palaces, mansions and temples.

Morning excursion to the Fort of Amber, which is also the ancient capital of the region. Ascend to the fort on an elephant back. Later continue with the city sightseeing. In the noon enjoy an exhibition elephant polo match. Post lunch explore the colourful markets of Jaipur famous for its handicrafts, jewellery, carpets, metalwork, antiques, pattery, textiles and leatherwork. Later, dinner and followed by an overnight stay on board.


Day 07: Arrival - Sawai Madhopur (ranthambore) - Agra

On arrival at Sawai Madhopur, you will proceed on jungle safari in the Ranthambhore National Park in open top jeeps / canters. If luck enough you may be able to spot the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger.

On return from the park, the luxury train leaves for Agra, the home to the world famous, Taj Mahal, an architectural wonder and now a world heritage site.

Today we will visit Agra fort, which is a fine example of Mughal architecture in red sandstone.

It is also a UNESCO heritage site.
Dinner and Overnight on board.


Day 08: Agra - Delhi

Today you will visit Taj Mahal, the monument constructed in white marble and dedicated to love at sunrise. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal.

Later the luxury train leaves for the final destination of New Delhi where you will say good bye to the royal and historic journey.
